They did say you can redo or pretty them up after but for the students to "own" them and make the routines intrinsic, it is very important that they are part of the creating. I love Daily 5 and couldn't believe the amount of progress my students made this past year. I am so glad I found your blog!Jeannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2467762254191143592.post-91567166761953618342012-07-02T19:16:07.739-07:002012-07-02T19:16:07.739-07:00I love those posters! Not sure if I should link up to both...

Anyway, anchor charts...never made ONE! I would like to do it this year, but I don't even know what to buy. I don't have an easel and just don't know what I need to get started.

You can check out my chapter 3 post here:

http://teachinglittlemiracles.blogspot.com/2012/06/questions-about-anchor-charts-schedules.html

CrystalTeaching Little Miracleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15694650140067870645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2467762254191143592.post-37976176065367211842012-07-02T12:53:08.767-07:002012-07-02T12:53:08.767-07:00This was my tenth year teaching, and the FIRST yea...This was my tenth year teaching, and the FIRST year I ever heard the words "anchor chart". I guess I'm a hillbilly and have been calling them "posters" for my career thus far. But whatevs. And I only made some this past year because I had to for a training assignment.

Of course, after stalking blogs and becoming addicted to Pinterest- there are some pretty cool ideas out there. I think most of them I will create with my kids. Because you're right- their input is what makes it work. But I also think I'm going to make a little "catalog" of the anchor charts I've found on the web so that I have an idea as to what I might want to do as a basic layout- or if any "steering" may be necessary. Buuuuuut, I could see myself doing some anchor chart prepping during the summer by drawing the background graphics, and then leaving space to record the kids ideas. If I found myself that motivated to add to my already huge to-do list.

http://themeekmoose.blogspot.comThe Meek Moosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09764671511197083830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2467762254191143592.post-44810989534334312502012-07-02T12:34:30.226-07:002012-07-02T12:34:30.226-07:00Lovin' that new poster girly-girl!
