Stapled Pants & Labor Day Sale!

{I thought I posted this at 1pm today.... so I am already home from shopping... WOOPS! Here it goes anyways...}

I am off to go shopping for "teacher clothes."

I am sad to say I am a 25 year old woman with a wardrobe filled with jeans, tshirts, and plenty of sundresses, but very few "teacher clothes."

I need a professional revamp.

This occurred to me when last week I put on my one and only pair of black dress pants and half way through the school-day I realized there were 6 shiny staples holding up the hem of my right pant leg.

Yes.... last year the hem fell out and my 25-year old brain thought, "I don't know how to sew and I don't have money for new pants... so staples - they'll work just fine!"

I am 25 and a half now.... much wiser.

I will buy new pants now.

Which is good because there is a LABOR DAY SALE!
I only buy things on sale.

So, as I head out the door I thought I would throw a Labor Day sale in my TPT store as well!

{Thanks Hadar, for the adorable button!}

Everything in my store is 20% off today and tomorrow!

Happy shopping :)

  1. I was never real good at doing "teacher clothes shopping"....probably because I would rather wear jeans every day!

    1. I couldn't agree more!! I loveee my jeans!

  2. Bwahahahahaha . . . I am 32 and I have a pair of shorts with the hem stapled. I can't sew either and it seemed so dang logical at the time :) On a related and so much more mature note, how'd ya fair in the school clothes shopping department?? What did ya get? Banana and J Crew cleaned my bank account out last week. Miss ya :)

    1. I miss you toooo!!! I bought out the GAP and TJMaxx/Marshalls added a lot more debt to my credit cards lol. But NO MORE STAPLED PANTS!

  3. I'm 40 and I still staple and safety pin my hems. In fact I was very embarrassed to have my cleaner leave me a note that she had taken my skirt that had the zipper pinned to the skirt with a safety pin and she was going to mend it. Did I have any other clothes that needed mending? Did I what!!! The pile was very big that I left her the next week. Bless her I could not live without her.
